Scrap Kits: July - December

Whew, I finally caught up my pages from 2011. I am very excited to start the grid scrapbooking in 2012. I'm hoping I can stay on top of it better! High hopes, I have high hopes.

Scrap Kit: Bonus

Here is our Bonus Scrap Kit. If you purchased kits from July through December, you get this layout free. The first page can be the first page of your 2011 scrapbook. The second page can be the last page of your 2011 book. Or you can use them as a layout together.

I used the Flirtatious Line from SU.

What do you guys think? I was inspired by a sketch online. Should we get more wild and crazy like this for 2012? Or should we stick with my more simple, clean line layouts? A few of my pieces need adhered better so just ignore that. ;)

Scrap Kit: December $9

We have completed yet another year of scrapbooking! I need to design bonus pages and then roll out the plan for 2012. Stay tuned!

I like the idea of making a banner using half circles!

I'm going to post our my first six months of the year all at once.  My scrap girls deserve that!  They have been so patient with me this year.  Thank you!

I may journal on these yet.  ;)  Click layouts to see close-up's.

I have pictures coming for July-November so we'll see if I can have the 2011 scrapbook done before the end of the year!

Scrap Kit: September $9

Here is our fun school layout using Just Add Cake Designer Paper. Odd, I know. But the abc's and 123's worked great for school, not to mention the colors! The colors are Marina Blue, Wasabi Green, Poppy Red, Saffron Yellow, Espresso Brown, and Peach Orange.

Check out the CORK title. If you don't want a school theme, maybe you can shorten your title to "cool" for birthday or summer pics. :)

I did a double trim using the Tasteful Trim XL Die. Finally worked the big wave in, and it's in textured Wasabi card stock.

Here's the ABC border up close. Again, if you don't want school theme, flip this DSP over for an awesome striped pattern. I had a hard time choosing between the two sides! And check out the chalkboard label. You can use chalk marker or white sharpie on this.

Here's the 123 tag on one of the photo frames, tied with the new white twine. It's so soft and easy to tie!

Let me know if you would like a layout this month! Thanks!

Scrap Kit: August $9

I don't know about you, but in the month of August I like to think it's a time to "relax" from the all excitement of summer. Enjoying the bounty of the garden, taking one last vacation, finally using my passes to Knight's Action Park (or maybe that's just me)...but you get the idea.

So this is our August layout using Petal Paisleys DSP. I liked the "gardeny" feel of the designs. And the colors are so pretty, reminds me of late summer colors.

Each picture frame is die-cut with scalloped squares, and is tied up with linen thread and a large brad.

I used the Tasteful Trim border die to make the wavy scalloped border, in a pretty and colorful floral print. I love how the white background pops on the unusual 12x12 color, River Rock. It makes the sand color take on a light green tone. I love it!

And the journal box is dry embossed with the Framed Tulips Die. It's wrapped in Olive Seam Binding and accented with the Sweet Stems Embosslit in designer paper.

I think all these elements go great together and just say "happy end of summer".

The title RELAX is cut in the Simple Alphabet dies. I am imagining writing in cursive, next to the title, "and enjoy". "Relax and Enjoy"...the rest of your summer!

If you would like a kit, contact me by Monday, August 22nd. Each kit purchased receives a punch on my punch card. 12 punches in 12 months earns $12 in free SU product! :)

Happy Weekend!

I thought the colors and designs in the Big Top Birthday DSP looked good for July. This would be fun specifically for 4th of July pictures too.

Cardstock: White, Turquoise, Daffodil, Red
DSP: Big Top Birthday
Accessories: Buttons, Brad
Dies: Simple Alphabet, Tasteful Trim
Punch: Pennant Punch!

Don't you love the banner AND the pinwheel? I just couldn't decide between the two so I went with BOTH! :)

Let me know by July 31st if you would like a kit for this layout. Thanks! :)

The twine is new in the Summer Mini. I also added an antique brad. The alphabet dies are from Simple Alphabet, cut in the Big Shot.

Scrap Kit: April $9

At Stamp Club, the Spring Vintage line has been such a hit. Many of us didn't "love" it until we saw it in person. The papers are just so pretty! We also have been loving the Tasteful Trim Die, and soon we will be playing with the Fun Flowers Die. You get to enjoy them all in this month's kit!

12x12: Crumbcake
Alphabet: Simple Alphabet
DSP: Spring Vintage
Frames: Confetti Cream
Dies: Tasteful Trim in Pink and Fun Flowers
Accessory: Flower Adornment
Ribbon: Vanilla Taffeta

Here is the title done in my favorite DSP, with the Tasteful Trim die-cut border underneath.

Here is the Fun Flower Die sponged and layered in Vanilla and DSP...topped off with a flower adornment! How pretty!

And here is the journal box done in Confetti Cream Cardstock, just like the frames. It is highlighted with a dainty taffeta bow.

These pages will be great for Easter or Spring. The kit will be $9. Shipping long distance is $4. You can pay via my Paypal button at the top of the blog or contact me to make other arrangements. Kits are nearly ready now. :)

Happy Spring!

March Scrap Kit $9

This month we are using Sale-A-Bration supplies for our pages. The designer paper and the buttons/ribbon are two different Sale-A-Bration items that can each be earned with a $50 SU purchase. But I wanted to use them on the kit this month so you can have a little sample of the Sale-A-Bration goodies with just a $9 kit. :)

The colors are very bright and "happy". The picture here is not exactly true to color. I just love the yellow 12x12 in SU's new color, Daffodil.

12x12: Daffodil (new)
Frames: Peach (new) and Wasabi (new)
Title: Simple Alphabet dies
Dies: Clear "Flower" Bigz Die, Tasteful Trim XL Die
Punch: Scallop Circle, 1 1/4" Circle
Embossing Folder: Perfect Polka Dots

This big flower die is so fun. Someday I will use it for quilting, I will! Adding the embossing to the pattern paper really adds some extra dimension.

And the Tasteful Trim die...it's fabulous! I purchased it just for my scrap kits but it's been great fun with cards too. Just ask my Stamp Clubs! :)

If you would like this month's kit, please contact me by March 17th. I accept check payments or you can even pay via the Paypal button on the top right of my blog. Long distance orders within the U.S. are accepted with additional $4 shipping.

Remember, if you don't scrapbook, you can still sample these fun Sale-A-Bration themed supplies to make cards! :) Two sheets of 12x12 will net you 8 4x8" card bases, the frame cardstocks make great layers, and of course you have plenty of accessories like scallops, ribbon, buttons, die-cuts, and punches to finish cards off. How about using letters in the title for monograms?! Woohoo!

2011 Scrapbooking Kits!

I am going to try something a little different for my scrapbookers this year. I've been hearing many of you say you need to get back to scrappin' and catch up. And here is how I think I can help:
  • MONTHLY kits to keep you going through the entire year, one month at a time
  • JUST ONE LAYOUT per month. I don't want to overwhelm you! ;)
  • EASY kits with picture mats for plugging in
  • VERSATILE layouts so you can rearrange or even omit mats if you choose
  • AFFORDABLE kits that cost far less than if you bought all the supplies on your own
  • NEWEST PRODUCTS from SU for each kit so you can sample the latest and greatest
  • PAYPAL option for convenient payments. See top right of blog. Checks also ok.
  • LONG-DISTANCE mailing now available so ANYONE can join in! $4 shipping.
  • NO LONG-TERM COMMITMENTS necessary. Purchase only the kits you want.
  • PREVIEWS on this blog so you can see before you buy
  • FINISHED SAMPLES posted on my blog after pics and journaling are added
  • FREE BONUS LAYOUT for those who purchase January through June kits!
You have to admit, this sounds fabulous and just too easy! It IS, my friends! Let's have some fun scrapbooking this year!

I know it's now February. I am a little late in getting a game plan together. But I want to offer a January Kit because I know my scrapbookers are chronologically minded, and we'd hate to miss a month! I will plan on posting a February layout in late February. Then we'll be on track for March.

Here is your peak at January's layout. I didn't necessarily go for snow this time. I really love the Oh Sew Suite in the new Occasions Mini. And I thought it would be fun to do a layout about us, our friends, our hobbies! You can flip the papers over and get a real sewing look for these pages, too. But I wanted to show you a more versatile option in case sewing isn't your thing.

As I often do, I imagine adding more to the title by handwriting something like "with girlfriends" or "at weekend crop" or something like that. Who knows, I may even decide to scrapbook the boys instead. The title comes from SU's alphabet dies, Serif Essentials.

The scallop circle is a Big Shot die cut and works well for a journal spot.

I love the three blocks of DSP on the second layout. You could mount pictures on those blocks to use them as frames. Or you can leave the blocks of DSP plain, to really show off the design. Here are the other sides of the papers. Maybe you'd like to use some of these!

And how about the pom pom trim!? Love it! The buttons are done with SU's new Buttons Embosslit. You will get a die cut of all the buttons on the die.

I put frames on these layouts so if you like lazy scrapbooking, you can just trim down 4x6 pictures and plop them on. You can always rearrange the frames to best suit your pictures. Or you can leave some or all of the frames off. Sometimes omitting frames means you can squeeze on more pictures. I am often guilty of this tactic.

And another fun little tip? What if you really want to sample some of the Oh Sew Suite line but you don't scrapbook? You can cut down these two 12x12 sheets into eight 4x8" pieces to get eight square 4x4" cards. Then use the DSP, buttons, and pom pom trim to design and accessorize your cards. Just add your favorite sentiments stamped on the white CS, punch them out, and adhere to your cards! Whoa, 8 cards for $9. Not bad!

You may now sign up for your January Kit. Payment must be received by Sunday, February 6th in order for me to get your supplies.

I really want to thank my former Scrap Club members who let me know how much they appreciated these kits and who challenged me to not give up but to make Scrap Club even better. I really appreciate your support. They even said they would pay MORE for kits if I would keep them going. Now that's dedication. But my little surprise and thank-you is that we're holding prices, folks! Woohoo! Thanks again, guys. :)

Scrap Club: October

This is my second layout for November Scrapclub. I put the "Autumn" title on my first layout. We had a fun day one mild week last month. Loved it.
