Project Life by Stampin' Up! ~ Order May 1st!

As many of you know, my scrapbooking has evolved quite a bit in recent years.  We had our traditional 12x12 layouts during many years of Scrap Club.  Then I did the grid scrapbooking for a couple years with you all.  Then as of late, my move has been more to the popular "drop-in" scrapbooking as pioneered by Project Life.  For a couple years, I happily used the style of Project Life drop-in with Stampin' Up! supplies. But oh how I wanted to move to buying pre-made journal and decorative cards....

Sizzix Texture Boutique Available Now!

 

Oh my gosh, seriously?  I am so, so excited about this!  SU is now offering this adorable Sizzix Texture Boutique machine for a limited time.  It is smaller than the Sizzix Big Shot and does not do die-cuting.  It only uses embossing folders.  Yeah, those things that I am obsessed with?  Those....those fantastic embossing folders.  LOVE THEM.  And I have to have this little machine!

I like to attend crops when I can.  But I often don't want to take along my heavy duty Big Shot.  This will be the perfect little gadget to haul around.  Awwwww.........

SU only has 4,000 of these to sell as part of a pilot program.  Oh wait, they only have 3,999 now...because I ordered one immediately.  :)  You can bet we will be playing with this new toy in Stamp Club and Stamp Camp, yeah baby!  

I just did a stamp camp with some moms and daughters tonight.  This little machine would be a perfect starter for teen girls!  I hope to sell many for Christmas gifts.  :)

SU's New Paper Trimmer!

I recently ordered SU's new paper trimmer.  But I hadn't played with it too much yet...I still love my SU guillotine trimmer.  ;)

Then my friend Mandy came over today, and we decided to explore the new trimmer.  It actually has so many great features that it took us quite awhile to discover them all!

This video from SU is quite informative.  You will want to take a look!

And here is a list of the features too:

• An extra-wide 6-1/4" cutting base and an extended 14-1/2" ruler
  • The extra-wide cutting base provides a large work area and is marked in 1/4" (4 mm) increments, allowing for small measurements. 
  • The right-side grid helps you measure and cut very thin strips.
  • The extended cutting arm has a stabilizing leg to provide a sturdy and steady cutting surface for longer cuts. 
  • When fully extended, the extended cutting arm sits flush with the trimmer base, providing more accurate and consistent measurements across the entire surface.
  • The cutting base and track include a full ruler, incorporating measurements down to 1/16" and grid lines that mark each quarter inch. 
  • All rulers and measurements on the base are printed under a plastic cover so your measurements won't wear off.
  • The base has nonskid feet, which keeps the Stampin' Trimmer securely in place on your work area.
• A full 12" cutting and scoring track
  • The extra-long cutting track has space at the top and bottom so you don't have to take the cutting and scoring blades out when you're not using them. 
  • The track gives you enough space to cut or score a full 12" (30.5 cm) without having to remove or switch out handles. 
  • The cutting track locks in place for secure storage or transport. 
  • The track includes an insertion point for cutting and scoring blade handles so you can easily insert handles into the cutting track.

  • The hook on the scoring and cutting blade handles keeps the handles stable so the cuts are as straight as possible.
  • Handles come in two colors: dark for cutting, light for scoring.

The New Stampin' Scrub!

 I love it, I love it, I love it!  It's going to be one of the new things that I say you must have.  It really is.  Add it to the Tabletop Cutter and the Big Shot.  You need it!

I have it opened up on my stamp table.  See?

The new hinges are metal, not plastic.  Most of my old scrubber pads broke at the hinge over time so I'm happy about this!

Probably my most favorite part is the new gripper pads on the back!  They are on all four corners, of both sides!  No more holding down the pad while I clean stamps.  Cleaning stamps is now a one-handed job!

And it is also true that the new pads are bigger than the old ones, by about an inch.  Here I placed an old pad on top of the new one.  See how much extra cleaning room you get?

The new cleaner pads are $16.95, and I believe they will be another great investment for rubber stamping!
