Punching Out and Organizing My Scraps of Paper

It's funny how I organize and prep scrapbooking and cardmaking AFTER I attend a weekend crafting event.  I just TALK at the event, and then I come home inspired by all the others who were actually getting something done.

As many of you know, I am doing our "Scrap Club" or "Samplers" a little different again this year.  I am going to be offering one-of-a-kind 12x12 layout kits for $5 in March.  It's going to be a huge, gigantic one-day sale for everyone to come stock up on however many layouts they want.  :)

I am so excited to be creating these kits that it has segued into many other fun projects.  One, I cleaned my whole stamping room...including the much needed dusting job....thank you e-cloth Furniture Cloth!  Second, I reorganized my stamp room.  That shouldn't be a shocker if you know me even a smidge.  Third, I took my son's "rock organizer" that he hasn't filled yet and decided to make an "accessory organizer" out of it.  Bad mom!

I used my two favorite designer paper packs (Summer Smooches and In-Colors) and just punched out a bunch of shapes.  My favorite shapes are:

Elegant Butterfly Punch
Bird Builder Punch
Fancy Flower Punch
Blossom Punch
1" Circle

It's fun to layer buttons on the 1" circles, to use them plain, or to use them as flower centers.  :)

I really liked making this with just my "scraps" as I made the $5 layout kits.  I can't wait to sit some night and use it!  I got this organizer at Michaels and if I end up using this system well, I may make more organizers with other themes of designer paper.

Have you ever pre-punched images and organized them for quick use?!  I would love to hear!

Great idea to make something useful from scraps, then actually keep track of them! Thanks for sharing at Point of View!
