By "Krafty", I don't just mean homemade gifts but I mean kraft wrapping paper.
My Christmas Tags Class spawned an idea for using kraft colored bags and wrapping paper. I just thought it would look so vintage, toned down, and the tags could really "pop" on brown papers.
So I found these gift bags 2/$1 at Deals. There is one of the class tags hung by linen thread. Then I tied the handles together with striped grosgrain.
Then this is where the "kraft wrapping" idea may have gone too far. I was on the search for kraft wrapping paper for a few days. Then it dawned on me that my Cyber Monday shopping, packing paper avalanche in the garage would be perfect for kraft wrapping paper!
To get a uniform look, I crumbled up the packing papers and then flattened them back out before wrapping presents in them. This way it doesn't look like random wrinkled packing paper. I made tags by layering 3 of my SU punches (decorative label, scallop oval, and modern label) with cardstock and designer paper. Then I tied some ribbon around the package.
Here's a close-up of the tags.
Before I had tags and ribbon on, I just had boxes wrapped in packing paper under the tree. Jeff wasn't so sure about this concept. We were starting to look like a UPS station. But I think he will agree that with the cutesy ribbon and handmade tags, we are onto something. I love the look of my handmade, thrifty, recycled, natural looking Christmas. :)

This is so cute! I love this vintage look you have going on here.
Maybe I started something with my "tag" request? I love it!!!
Very cute idea! I love it! May have to try this one year! :D
This is really, really beautiful. Way better than random colorful cheapo wrapping paper.
