Simple Father's Day Card

This was one of our Stamp Club cards in May. It was a favorite of many. I think my gals have picked up on my love of simple!

I cut a square stencil out of cardboard with my paper cutter. But it would also be super cool to use all the Nestability shapes as stencils! We sponged thelight blue background using the stencil. Then we inked up the tree in Forest Friends using markers and stamped the image over the sponged blackground. The sentiment comes from Teeny Tiny Wishes, where there is a sentiment for all holidays!

The card base is actually White Naturals. It's heavy cardstock and adds a nice speckled background. It's hard to see in this picture, sorry.

My card was inspired by this card on SCS.

I really love this card! I would have never thought to use that stamp without anything else from the set, it is wonderful!
