Organizing Ribbon & Buttons

After church yesterday, I came home exhausted. I thought it was from staying up too late with the "spring forward" time change. But by evening, I had a cold coming on. So in my afternoon stupor, all I could muster up to do was sit in the stamp room and figure out some more organizing ideas. I was still in the process of moving my essentials to the "sit down table"...from the "standing table". There's only one thing I can do well in a sleepy, sickly state...organize. :)

So here are a few of the things I did. I will show you more later!

I organized some ribbon spools. Ruffled Ribbon went into the wire bowl. The bigger spools, 1/4" Grosgrain and In-Color Twills, went into the crate. And Occasions and SAB ribbons went into the shopping cart.

Then I got all crazy and decided to split up all my color family buttons into rainbow colors instead. I had picked up these little salt shakers at Goodwill for $5 and they were all washed up and ready to go...waiting for me to figure out what to do with them. I actually had to go retrieve them from the garage sale pile because I had almost given up on them since storing twine in them wasn't working like I had originally planned. I love the buttons in them! Now I have some Bold Bright buttons on order via a free SAB item to bulk up some of my most used colors like purple and orange. I love that we can earn buttons for SAB!

Once the buttons went into rainbow order, the ribbons below had to as well!

Don't laugh at me on this one but my scrapbooking station on the hutch wasn't working well. I tend to do my pages all at once at the table or in the kitchen or out and about with friends. So I finally decided to put the Big Shot and Paper Trimmer there so they are right behind my sit-down table. All I have to do is swivel my chair to get to them.

I just prove that some systems have to be tried and redone when they don't work. ;) Always be open to changing what isn't working for you!

I also finally got one of the SAB totes for myself. See it hanging on the hutch? It's so perty!

I'll be back soon with more features from the New Year room revamp which is now taking more than 2 months, ha!

Love it! You are extremely organized, and the way you put them in order really makes it look like "art" in itself. Very pretty.... TFS!
