Scrap Kit: July $9

I thought the colors and designs in the Big Top Birthday DSP looked good for July. This would be fun specifically for 4th of July pictures too.

Cardstock: White, Turquoise, Daffodil, Red
DSP: Big Top Birthday

Dies: Simple Alphabet, Tasteful Trim
Punch: Pennant Punch!

Don't you love the banner AND the pinwheel? I just couldn't decide between the two so I went with BOTH! :)

Nautical Expedition Card

We made this card at my recent Open House. I liked this project because it showed how you can enjoy an SU theme without buying a stamp set. Some ladies think they own too many stamp sets, but they feel better when they buy consumables. So here we made a nautical card using new product from the Summer Mini by using mostly DSP, accessories, and punches! :) The boat and wheel are both punched out from the DSP!

Cardstock: Basic Grey, Crumbcake
DSP: Nautical Expedition
Punch: Ticket Corner, Postage Stamp,
Accessory: Twine (Summer Mini)
Stamp Set: Sincere Salutations
Ink: Basic Grey

Hope you are having a great summer!

In Color Cards

We made these In-Color charts at the Open House last week. They are 1/4 sheet and fit perfectly into SU's clear envelopes. My upcoming club members got to make these, and they can be added to the color charts that we made last year. :)

Awash With Flowers in Crumbcake

Crumbcake is great in monochromatic AND it lends itself to such a vintage look...even with a funky stamp set! What a mix.

Cardstock: Crumbcake, Naturals Cream
Ink: Crumbcake (stamped off for lighter images)
Technique: Sponging in Crumbcake
Folder: Tulips
Ribbon: Crumbcake Seam Binding
Stamp Set: Awash with Flowers, Teeny Tiny Wishes

To sponge the embossed area, we found that the swirling sponge motion was most effective. :)

Fun Flowers Card

Sometimes the Big Shot makes me so happy that I don't even have to stamp! This card was done using Big Shot dies and folders. :) I concocted my own accessory by tying ribbon in a knot and pulling it through a hole in the flower.

Cardstock: Blushing Bride, Soft Suede, Vanilla
Dies: Fun Flowers, Tasteful Trim
Folder: Polka Dots
Technique: Sponging on flower
DSP: In-Color Pack Blushing Bride
Ribbon: Blushing Bride

One of my clubs did a green version using Pear Pizazz, and it looked just as great.

Flight of the Butterfly Dry-Embossed

This card is so simple, but so fun!

Cardstock: Melon Mambo, Whisper White
Ink: Mambo, Olive, Egglplant, Basic Grey
Ribbon: Olive Grosgrain
Folder: Square Lattice

Make sure you use adhesive all over on layers embossed with this folder. It easily warps the paper, but adhering down all the edges gives a great finished product. :)

Inlaid Embossing & Triple Layer Punch

This was a June Stamp Club card. Love the inlaid embossing technique! You just adhere punched images WELL to your cardstock, and then dry emboss the entire piece of cardstock. Fantastic!

Cardstock: Pear Pizazz, Blushing Bride, Soft Suede, Whisper White
Ribbon: Celery Wide Grosgrain
Punch: Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch (Summer Mini), Modern Label
Stamp Set: Crazy for Cupcakes
Ink: Soft Suede

Happy Summer!
