Scrap Club: April

This is the title page for our April layout for Scrap Club. I am going to replace the center picture with a picture of the Easter eggs we colored with permanent markers....as soon as I get the picture printed. Aren't those boys just adorable! Who says little boys can't be scrapbooked on flowery, pink pages.....at least at Easter time!

You can see Mandy's title page over at Creative Cents.

Stamp Club Swap Card

Each month, my Stamp Club swaps full cards. This was my swap for April. I totally cased it from Julie at Splitcoast. Her card is here. Julie is a local demo. Hi Julie!

ArtsCow: Free Prints For Registering!

I just registered at a new online photo printing site, www.Artscow.com. What's up with that name? It's funny.

I'm a very loyal Snapfish customer but for this deal, it's worth a shot!

* 400 Free Prints (50 4x6 and 50 5x7 each month for the next 4 months)

* 8x8 Photo Book (20 pages) available starting May 31 and expiring Dec. 31

I assume we still pay shipping on these free items.

Here is the ArtsCow update I received upon registration:

Since the promotion for 400 free prints & 1 free 8x8 photo book is one of the most popular and hottest deals in the market, we have received over 15,000 new registrants in the last two weeks, over 15,000 photo books and 6,000,000 free prints credits have been granted to all qualified members. Once our target of 20,000,000 free prints credits granted in these days, we will stop this aggressive marketing promotion. You can earn extra prints credits (up to 10,000 credits) by referring your friends to join us. Click here for more details.

The 8x8 Custom Cover Photo Book (including first 20 pages, additional each page $0.50), will be available around 05/31/2008. We promise that our photo book quality will be among the best three in the online market. Thank you.

If you decide to register and go this through this referral link, I will get some prints credited to my account. Thanks a bunch!

National Scrapbooking Day/Month

Did you know that Saturday, May 3rd is National Scrapbooking Day? I don't know about you, but this gives me some serious motivation to scrapbook this month! I'm going to do a blog series this month, where each week we can report on what we've accomplished in scrapbooking this month. I will write up a post each week on what I have gotten done. And you can leave a comment in the comment section to tell us what YOU have been up to. We will celebrate every little accomplishment.

So what kinds of things can you do this month to celebrate National Scrapbooking Day? Here are just a few ideas:

  • Just think about scrapbooking
  • Check out the Scrapbook Club that I offer each month
  • Take some pictures
  • Order some prints
  • Organize your pictures (online or prints)
  • Organize your scrapbooking supplies
  • Check out some online printing sites if you haven't already
  • Purchase some scrapbooking supplies
  • Attend a crop
  • Get together with a friend and scrapbook
  • Get out an unfinished album and finish it up
  • Start a new album
  • Make a mini album for a gift
If you do any of these things this month or something else scrapbooking related, we want to hear about it! So go get started and check back in soon. Happy National Scrapbooking Month!

Wild Wasabi Promotion Over

SU received a tremendous response the Wild Wasabi Promotion, and the supply has been exhausted before the April 30th end date. I will have a sample up soon of a card we made at club this month using the wasabi cardstock promotion. I need Jeff to show me how to put samples on from our main computer. My laptop is sick right now. Boo hoo.

Occasions Mini Extended!

Yeh! The fruit will be around a little longer than expected. I just love that theme! Here is the announcement from SU.

We are pleased to announce that we are extending the sales period of the Occasions Mini Collection 2008 through June 30.

Because the date for the Spring-Summer Collection 2008 has been extended until August 10, we're giving you an extra month to submit orders for occasions mini products.

Now Accepting Credit Cards

I am finally able to accept credit and debit cards for catalog orders! Mastercard, Visa, and Discover will all be accepted. This is just for catalog orders that I place through Stampin' Up. Class fees, retired merchandise, Scrap Club, and any other payments that go directly to me (not through SU) will still require cash or check.

My First E-Mail Class

I am offering my first e-mail class. Here is how it works. Sign up and pay the fee. Then either pick up the supplies or pay to have me mail them to you. I e-mail the samples for you to copy and then you assemble the project at home.

This is how we are running the Scrap Club, and it is working out wonderfully. I think with our busy schedules these days, people really do like the option of being able to do class projects at home on their own time. Plus, this is a great way for long distance stampers to get involved!

Here are the details:

E-Mail Class: Lucky Star 12 Note Cards Class
Cost: $12
Shipping (optional): $4.60 Priority Flat Rate Envelope
Supplies:
lucky star die-cut stickers shown on page 177, here
1 metal tin
supplies for tin's belly-band
12 scored note cards
12 note card envelopes

This project makes 12 different note cards with matching envelopes, plus a matching tin with belly-band which will hold the 12 note cards and envelopes. My picture shows the tin and 3 of the 12 note card designs. This makes a great gift or a fun stash for yourself.

Please contact me with your order and pre-pay by Wednesday, April 30th. You may order as many units as you'd like. Contact me at jamiekaufmann (at) yahoo (dot) com to place your order or to ask any questions.

I look forward to hearing from you!

My Best Creation Yet!

Ok ladies, here is the most exciting thing I have ever come up with, in my opinion. I am so thrilled to finally have this project completed and ready to show. I told Jeff, I'm all jittery and nervous as I post this because I am just so darn excited! I think I'm shaking!

Anyways, I don't think this has been done before. I made a clear scrapbook from the page dividers in the Forget-Me-Not Keeper (photo and card storage box from SU). Isn't it adorable!!! I got the idea when I saw the cute, trendy acrylic scrapbooks in the market and wished that SU offered something similar. Then I found the plastic SU dividers in my photo box, and the rest is history! I have to say, the see-through feature can be a little tricky. But I loved the challenge! And the finished product is just dang CUTE!

So here we go, I would love to offer a step-by-step class where you can make your very own see-through album like this one. Let me know if you may be interested!

Marker Club

I've done a few marker clubs in the past, and I think anyone who has participated will agree that it was a great investment in their craft collection. Personally, I don't know how I lived without my set of 48 markers for that first year or so of stamping. We all love them! They are great for coloring in images, multi-coloring stamped images, splattering with the air brush tool, watercoloring, and much more. I recently learned how to shade with them, it's awesome! And the most fabulous feature is that they all coordinate with the 48 Stampin' Up! colors.

Here are a few scenarios on how Marker Club could work this time, depending on how many people participate. The monthly totals include SH and tax.

4 people / 4 months / $37.32 per month

6 people / 6 months / $24.88 per month

8 people / 8 months / $18.66 per month

Each participant would also receive hostess benefits including a free SU catalog, a free hostess stamp set, and $15 in SU merchandise of their choice....for one of the months.

Please contact me if you are interested or have questions. I hope we get to start soon! :)

Stamp Club: March

This is one of the three cards we did for Stamp Club in March. I love the star trend. It's great for boy stuff! This card was inspired by JenniBStamping over at SCS. Her card is here.

SU Shipping Rates Increased.....Kinda

Thankfully, this is only for smaller orders. Here's the information from SU.

The minimum shipping rate will increase from $3.95 to $6.95 as of Tuesday, April 1. This change only affects any orders totaling less than $69.50, as the regular 10% rate on any order type above that amount will remain the same.

This means that if your order goes in on a workshop order, you will just pay the normal 10% SH because total workshop orders are usually more than $69.50.

If you are putting in an individual order less than $69.50, outside of a workshop, I can always try to combine your order with other orders to get the lesser shipping costs. So hopefully this won't affect us too much.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Sale-A-Bration Success Story

Recent stats from Stampin' Up!:

On Monday, March 17 (the last day of Sale-A-Bration), Stampin' Up! history was made with $3.5 million in sales--our largest single day of sales ever! What a grand way to end Sale-A-Bration! And that's not all.

The total number of Sale-A-Bration items earned was nearly 700,000; the most popular Sale-A-Bration item was the Lots of Thought set, with more than 120,000 earned.

Thanks to my customers, specifically, for making this another successful Sale-A-Bration season for me. Free stamps are always more fun when stamping with friends!
