Sunshine & Sprinkles Card

We will be making this card today at Vicky's workshop.  :)  I love spring-themed craft supplies.    Umbrellas, rain boots, kites...I think it's my favorite time of the year.

We will be using several fun things from the Spring Catalog.

Sunshine & Sprinkles DSP
Cloudy Day Embossing Folder
Striped Organdy Ribbon

I may be offering this card as a Stamp Camp next month, too.  Stay tuned!

Epic Day & Doily Card

If you are thinking about stopping by for tomorrow's daytime workshop, this is one of the cards we will be making.  :)

We will be using some of the Epic Day products including the designer papers and washi tape.  I am also loving my new ticket punch and the great paper doilies.

If you can make it, email and let me know so I have a spot saved for you.  :)

Epic Day This and That Card

I LOVE the new Epic Day This and That products.  I keep referring to them as "smashbook" materials so you all might understand one way to use the Bundle.  However, you can use these supplies for traditional scrapbooking AND card-making, too!

I bought the whole bundle because I wanted the supplies for traditional scrapbooking.  I thought the journal would just be an added bonus, and I'd figure out a way to use it as a journal later.  But when the bundle arrived, I fell in love with all the products and was inspired to come up with a way to use it all together with the journal.  Hence, I am now doing a diet and exercise journal for two months.  Maybe scrapbooking is just the motivation I needed because I have lost three pounds since April 1st!  ;)

I still plan to use the Epic Day supplies in my 12x12 family album, too.

AND, I could not WAIT to make a card with these supplies!  When I saw this card by Mish Mesh, I was totally inspired to do some washi tape on a card!

For this card, I made my own tag with a rectangle piece of cardstock, corner rounder, and hole punch.  And please be impressed with my real stitching on the bottom.  ;)

Supplies that I added to this card that are not part of the Epic Day line are:

Coral Twine ($2.95)

Epic Day Supplies that I used are:
Washi Tape (3 for $4.95)
Designer Paper ($10.95)
Rotary Stamp ($5.95)

If you don't want the whole Epic Day Bundle, just pick up some of the supplies for card-making while it's still FREE SHIPPING through the end of today!  Once again, here's a picture of what's included in the Bundle.

If you end up doing some "Free Shipping Shopping" today online, don't forget to check out the Clearance Rack for some exceptional bargains!

For online orders, enter Hostess Code BHWYDEPF in the "Cart Page" to get preferred pricing tied to me as your demo.

If you would like me to take your order, just email me before 6pm tonight.

Have a great day, and I hope it's EPIC!

Feeling Sentimental & Tea for Two...Simplified

When I was making THIS CARD for Stamp Club, I actually created this simpler version first.  It doesn't have the espresso panel and the dry embossing.  But I still like it.  And it got a fun photo-shoot today so I thought I would share!  Lovin' my new camera.  :)

Have a great day!

Butterfly Punch Simple Card

I made a set of these cards for my MIL for Christmas.  Her favorite colors are pink and green so I used the Christmas papers on SU's Clearance Rack to punch out the butterfly.  White layered on white with a little embossing, love it.  You don't have to use the full surface of your embossing folders.  Try doing just a portion of your layer, it works!  The brown sentiment really pops on the white, too.  She loved these.  :)

Snow Festival Card #7

I'm really like the soft sweater trim in the Holiday Catalog!  It comes in cherry, gumball, and white.

Sometimes these simple cards don't even need a stamp.  Agree?

Snow Festival Simple Card #3

Inspired by the design that had rows of different patterns, I made my own version with scraps.  Tie a white ribbon around, make a bow....and there is your simple Christmas card today!  :)

This card is a good sampling of the more "solid" color patterns.  The other sides are cutesy images like owls, houses, hedgehogs, deer, stockings, and more!

If you need Snow Festival Designer Paper for YOUR Christmas projects, I can order it for you Monday night!

Snow Festival Simple Card #2

Here is another card I threw together, with scraps on the stamp table!  The Snow Festival DSP has one side designed with rows of different images.  This scrap just happened to capture the stockings perfectly, along with the red, green, white, and pink stripes.  Awwwwww, I love stockings!

I used some coordinating Primrose ribbon and stamped with Sweet Essentials in Espresso Ink.  All done!

Great DSP just makes card-making too easy.  ;)

Snow Festival Simple Card #1

Many of you have liked looking at my stash of simple cards made with the Snow Festival DSP during classes and camps.  So I will post some of them.

These are a little different than the designs I made for the Christmas Cards Class & Kits.

The Snow Festival DSP sure is a favorite of mine!

One of the sheet designs has 16 different 3x3 squares with images that make great card focal points.  Here I used the owl quadrant.  With 2 sheets of each design, that is 32 images ready to be put onto a card.  With a little more DSP and a nice bow, the card was set to go in minutes!

It's not too late to purchase your own package of Christmas Designer Paper.  Remember, you get 12 sheets, two of each pattern, and they are all double-sided!  I am putting in orders today for the Black Friday Deal Busters today.  :)

Check out my framed art using Snow Festival, too!  Class participants said it's even better in person.  :)

Happy Thanksgiving Week!

Howlstooth and Scarringbone Card

Howlstooth and Scarringbone DSP from Holiday Catalog.  For the name, it's a pretty cutesy card!  ;)

I love making these quick and easy circle punch cards with SU designer papers.  The extra layer of white of vanilla really helps the design not to be too plain.

Happy Halloween!

Bring on the Cake Card

 DSP ~ Summer Smooches
CS ~ Suede, Crumb Cake, White
Punch ~ Elegant Butterfly
Die ~ Scalloped Square
Ink ~ Soft Suede
Markers ~ Limeade & Crumb Cake
Accessory ~ Pearls

I need to start a new blog series called "Scraps on My Table"....because I made yet another card using a bunch of pieces lying around.  ALL these pieces, even the base were almost destined for the trash until I used them to make my sister a card last night.  She turns 20 today!

This is a fun little stamp, and they boys helped me color.  I colored the 2 and 0 green.  But Miles found the matching Crumb Cake marker all on his own and asked to color more of the numbers.  I thought it was a great touch!  Good job, Miles!

Orchard Harvest Card

Here is another card I made up real fast using scraps on the stamp table.  I've been having fun playing with the Orchard Harvest papers!  The stamp set is Curly Cute, and the ink is Early Espresso.  Easy peasy!

Hope you all have a great week!

Wacky Wishes Thank You

Here is another "grab scraps off the table" card I made to send out with prize winnings from my milk allergy blog.  :)  Wacky Wishes is a hostess set in the Annual Catalog.  I love versatile sentiment sets!

The strip of paper is from Orchard Harvest in the Holiday Catalog.  And Island Indigo is the fun blue color.

Have a great weekend!

Orchard Harvest Scraps Card

The other day we were headed out the door for my nephew's 6th birthday party, and I forgot to make a card.

Luckily I had some scraps of Orchard Harvest papers lying on my table AND the scalloped white circle.  All I had to do was run the Typeset Numbers Die through the Big Shot to get a #6.

Pretty cute for a scraps card, huh!  ;)

Faux Lego Card

This is a birthday card that I made for Miles.  He is a Lego fanatic.  Because I find myself making birthday cards the night before at midnight, I did another very simple design.

The lego is made from cardstock and red brads.  To give dimension, I highlighted the brads with SU's white gel pen, and popped it up with 3D dots.

I stamped the sentiment in Grey with a stamp from "Made for You".

Angry Birds Pop-Up Card

Graham turned 5 this week so I made him this Angry Birds card.  The pop-up is really easy to do.  Learn how at Julie Davison's blog!  This card is CASE'd from her site, too.  I just made mine a full size card and used my scallop circle punch for the clouds.  She used the cupcake punch.

Use a circle punch, black marker, white gel pen, and hand-cut the orange beaks to make the little birds.

Super cute, right?!

Broadsheet Monogram

 RASBERRY RIPPLE ALERT!  (New In-Color!)

An hour before the boys' last music class for the year, I whipped up a pack of 6 monogram notecards.  I did the embossing trick with the Labels Collection Framelits.  It's a lot of shimming but once you have it set, you can pump multiples out easily.

CS - Vanilla
Stamps:  Broadsheet Alphabet
Ink:  Rasberry Ripple!
Die:  Labels Collection Framelits
Ribbon:  Vanilla Satin

When we have supplies to make gifts like these, why should we ever have to pick up a store-bought gift, right?!  :)
