SAB: Botanical Blooms

This is my favorite Sale-A-Bration item, Botanical Blooms. I cased this idea for the flowers from dawnmercedes over at Splitcoast. Her sample is here. Hmmm, I didn't have her card in front of me when I made this. I like three flowers better. I may have to add one more to the card. The sentiment is a second SAB item, Congrats stamp set. I used and scalloped Bella Rose DSP and finished of with chocolate taffeta ribbon.

This card I cased from rj77 at Splitcoast. Here sample is here. I LOVED the colors she used, but I wanted to incorporate more of the SAB products. As it turns out, my card ended up looking like the card rj77 cased. The card is here! Isn't that funny? I used the SAB designer paper and ribbon with this card. I like how sometimes black outlines work with these flowers. Other times, I use colored outlines. You can do a lot with this set!!!

This might be my favorite. I cased the window idea from princesstepa at Splitcoast. Here's her sample. I often browse the galleries to spark my creativity but then try to make my own cards without having others' in front of me. I don't want to copy them exactly. However, it look like I went with the same colors, paper, and ribbon as the original after all. I guess these ARE the SAB items so what do I expect? Hee, hee. I have not sprung for the new Big Shot die that cuts this window so I made due with my punch. I am pleased with it's placement. Although it won't cut into the middle of the card, I can use DSP or ribbon to even out the placement and make it look centered.

Gardenbella

Ok, now I'm getting fancy with the Nestibilities. Remember, I'm using them in my Big Shot machine. I cut two sizes and layered them together....added some little gel pen dots and there you have a cute frame. I also did the dry embossing in the Big Shot. The designer paper is Flock Together from our awesome SU paper swap. Sentiment from AMuse punched with SU's small oval. How about a little SU tafetta and bling to finish it off. Purple and green...getting back to my roots. :)

Huggybellas

Just some more fun coloring with an AMuse sentiment. Now onto play with my Sale-A-Bration goodies!

UK Rainy Elzybell

This is an Elzy stamp again but the UK version...much bigger than the AMuse version. I ordered these for my birthday. An AMuse sentiment though. Wow, now I for sure believe that SU's stamp sets are a better bargain than individual stamp shopping. These individual sentiments run about $6 each with almost $5 minimum shipping. SU's Short and Sweet set is a super bargain for super cute sentiments...my all time fave.

Crazy for Cupcakes

How about an SU sample today? This is the ever cute, Crazy for Cupcakes set. I love SU's white gel pen...see the white accents on the cherries? That totally made the card! I did another frame with my nestability die in the big shot. Simple card, white cardstock, coloring fun!

CC Designs Love Ya Lots

This little lion is part of a Valentine's set from CC Designs. But I used SU's sentiment from Wild About You and now it's just a cute card for any occasion. Used Nestabilities in the Big Shot to make the embossed frame. I stayed up last night making a few simple cards like this. Stay tuned for more samples. I was just in the mood to color...not make fancy card designs.

And soon, I will be breaking out the SU Sale-A-Bration goodies to work on some samples with those. Yay!

I Wish I Looked So Good On A Bike Bella

That's really what this stamp is called, tee hee! I love this card! I used DSP from SU's hostess pack. The colors are regal rose and basic grey. The brads are the new neutral brads from SU...the smaller of the two sizes. I'm super proud of my coloring skills here....only that I shaded white pants with light grey and it actually turned out! Yippeee for me! And notice the circle theme going on here? :)

Hostess Goody Bag Projects

At my Hostess Appreciation Party in January, I gave the girls these fun goody bags with their initials on them. For the monograms, I cut SU's brown vinyl in my Big Shot using the Serif Essentials dies. You can also see I altered chapsticks for them using designer paper and covering with packing tape. Those were so fun and easy!

I challenged the girls to make a project using as much product in their goody bags as possible. Two lovely ladies submitted their projects to me and will receive super duper prizes for doing so.

This is a mini album made by Jennifer S.

And this is a fancy metal embossed card made by Terri A.

These ladies are talented. All my Club and Camp Girls are! Thanks for sharing your projects with us ladies!

Cheep Talk

For those of you who were getting worried about me....I made this card with a new SU stamp set called Cheep Talk. So cute!!! I also used the coordinating designer paper because I just cut up our Paper Share. Holy cow, I am so glad we got to do the share. The papers are so pretty, even more in person. I know all the Paper Share ladies are going to be super pleased! I love using DSP on almost all my cards these days. And the Paper Share stash is going to go a long ways!

I had to marker the branches to get the two colors so it came out a little mute. Therefore I stamped off the blue bird before putting him on the branch...so he would be a little muted too. I dry embossed with SU's new texture plates. Yahoo! I did spritz the paper before embossing which turned out to be a good trick for a deeper emboss. I punched the flower with the Trio Flowers punch and added brads. And I paper pieced the little wing with coordinating DSP. The stamp set comes with one branch but I stamped it twice to make it look more like birdie was in a tree. This stamp set makes me want spring to come!!!

Coffee, YUM!

Ooooo, I love this set from H&M stamps. I used SU's designer prints pack paper, Perfect Plum. That's my first favorite SU color ever, and I still like it a lot. Nothing too hard here. But I like the finished product.

Piggy Valentine

This was Jeff's valentine card. I had to use this pig from CC Designs because of the cute sentiment that went with it. But I knew I had to be careful giving my manly hubby a pink card. So I went with Basic Grey for the main color. The designer paper is one of SU's level hostess items.

Javabellas

Ooooo, now how about this!? These are more of the Bella stamps. The sentiment is from Gina K's, My Cuppa Joe. I really wanted the awning to match their clothes so I ended up striping it with my markers after trying several designer papers that didn't cut it. The bling are SU rhinestones.

Changito Monkeys

I received this stamp on accident on a trade. Not my favorite monkey images in the world but they are very popular. So I went with it and made a fun Valentine card. Check out the SU corduroy and designer buttons! Also used SU's top note die and oval punches.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY
!

Billy Valentine

Happy Valentine's Day!

This is the Valentine I made for some long-distance friends. Didn't realize Valentine's Day was tomorrow (today) so it was a mad dash this morning to make a batch of these before the mailman came at 11am. I actually made these postcard style and just wrote a quick note down at the bottom. I used SU's In-Color, Red Riding Hood for this card. Not my best coloring job. I held back the worst for myself. The girls will get better coloring on their cards.

Hope you all have a great day!

Bella Party Girl

This is a Bella stamp from Canada. I got her on a stamp trade. I stinkin' LOVE this card! I didn't think I was a HUGE Bella fan. But now I think I am! I put a little glitter on the cupcake and used SU brads and ribbon to accessorize. Fun, fun!!!

Elzy Flowers

You may be seeing a lot of Elzybells. I'm totally addicted. I just ordered the bigger versions from the UK for my birthday. The UK versions have a little boy too. I'm a sucker for little boys!

This again uses my bargain Dude Designs paper and the SU oval die cuts. Check out the new SU flower brads colored with the SU white gel pen! I haven't seen this done...am I the first?

Elzybell Bossy

I love this bossy little girl...reminds me of myself, hee, hee. The sentiment that comes with her is "I'm not bossy, I just have better ideas". I love it! I paper pieced her dress with designer paper. The paper is Dude Designs that I got for a penny a sheet at a recent warehouse sale! The ovals are cut with the new oval Big Shot die from SU. Elzybell is from Amuse.

Billy & Lily Sweetheart Set

I just stamped this image from a friend's set. Isn't Billy so cute?! I used the nestability die and cuttlebug folder in my Big Shot. Woot!

Billy & Frog

While taking a little break from SU stamp clubs, I am having fun trying out some new stamps. I could not resist adorable Billy from Pink Cat Studios!

Dutch Dare Challenge

I've never heard of this challenge before but Limelight is sponsoring it this time and I could win the cutest ever stamp set....so I'm in! The challenge is to create a valentine card without using pink or red. For some reason, that's not real hard for me. I used this coffee set from Gina K. again. This card would be perfect for my Starbucks lovin' hubby!

Limelight Challenge

This is the card I made for the product challenge over at Limelight. My friend Jennifer is on the design team there. They gave a sketch to follow and require pink bling. Well, pink brads was the best I had. Not sure if my card will even qualify for that reason but oh well. I'll try anyways. This is a coffee set by Gina K.

Scrap Club: January Page

We are up and running for Scrap Club 2009! Woot woot! This was the second page of the layout. I usually show the title page but little Miles was in his undies so I decided not to put that out on cyberspace. I'm sure you understand.
