Scallop Punch Turkeys

Miles and I made these place setting turkeys for Thanksgiving. I wish I knew where these originated. Not my idea. But aren't they cute? They are made with the circle scallop punch and the three flowers punch. Oh, and the names are on the oval punches of course.

Cuttlekid For Sale: SOLD

I saw on Splitcoast that a lady was looking for a gently used Cuttlekid for her niece this Christmas. And that made me wonder if my own little Cuttlekid might have a better home to go to...since I have a new "big shot" in the house! :) I could have offered this to that lady, but I always like to offer up stuff to my customers and readers first. Plus, a local person would not have to pay shipping.

I purchased this in January and used it once or maybe twice. It comes with the die cut machine, A and B plates which are both necessary to die cut, and two dies (oval and cricut head). I also purchased two extra A pads, which are the cutting pads that get marked up with each cut. They eventually need replaced, and I wanted to have a couple on hand. The A & B that came with the machine are a little marked up from the couple times I used them so I am ordering a brand new set of those to include in this sale. That way you will get all the plates brand new. I can throw in the marked ones, which will work fine for a long time, but won't include those in the pricing.

As you can see the machine is still in the original packaging. I am asking $25 for everything. That's the machine, two dies, A & B plates used, A & B plates new, and 2 additional A plates brand new.

Does anyone need an adorable little die-cut machine for a child this Christmas? :) Contact me if you are interested or want more info. Thanks so much!

Additional Note: If you are a Cuttlebug owner, you may want to know that Cuttlekid dies WILL work in Cuttlebugs. So if you purchase inexpensive Cuttlekid dies, you will be able to play with them in your "bug" too. The most exciting thing about the Cuttlekid is that they have very inexpensive alphabet and number dies that will work in the Cuttlebug. I have them, but can't part with them. They work in my Big Shot as well. You will have to check out all the cute Cuttlekid dies that are out there!!!

Big Shot: Monogram Card

I've been playing around with my new toy this weekend!

November: Swap Card

This uses the new Flowers for All Seasons set, which is a take from the ever-popular Tree for All Seasons stamp set that has been around forever. I used a leftover Top Note frame.

Important Dates!

SU just announced the retirement date for the 2008 Fall/Winter Catalog so here's the rundown:

December 9th: Retirement List for Stamps Released
January 19th: Spring/Summer 2009 Catalog Released
February 1st - March 31st: Sale-A-Bration

As always, I will be selling off most all of my retiring stamp sets. I post my list and prices soon after SU releases their list. I allow you to "take dibs" on what you want. And then when the new catalog comes out, Jan 19th, I am all set to exchange money and retired stamp sets with those who reserved. I will have several brand new hostess stamp sets to sell off for sure. Can't wait to see what else is retiring. Stay tuned to snag some great deals!

SU Tins For Sale!

SU has announced:

Unique Holiday Packaging: Two Great Tins!

Are you looking for unique holiday packaging ideas this year? We have the perfect solution!

Two of our tins are available for purchase. Our turquoise Punch Box tins are perfect for holiday treats and our silver skinny Accents & Elements tins make great CD or gift card holders. Each tin is sold individually so you can buy the exact number you need. These items are only available while supplies last, so share this great packaging idea with your customers and place your order today!

114673 Turquoise Tin $3.95

108333 Silver Skinny Tin $1.95

Personally, I love these tins. Let me give you some good tips.

Turquoise Tin: I have about six of these and use them all. Some I use like you would for a shoebox swap. When I have a workshop, I put the supplies for each card into their own tin. This system is working out well. I also have a tin for all my basic supplies at workshops like tape, glue, scissors, glue dots, cleaner, etc. See picture above. Another good use of these tins would be for storing cards, stamps, or accessories. I use one of the tins to store my Big Shot supplies now. The all purpose platform, the cutting plates, and the dies fit perfectly. See the other picture above. If you want to decorate these for gift packaging, rub-on's look great on that clear top!

Silver Skinny Tin: These have been for sale, 3 for $9.95. So this new price is a great reduction! SU already gave some good tips for their use. But did you know that SU's Notecards, p. 167, will fit perfectly in these tins (even the envelopes)? See the picture above. I put a notecard and envelope in one of the tins to show you. You can make card packs for Christmas gifts, package them in these tins, and decorate the outside with a cardstock belly band or tie up with a ribbon. How cute!

These ARE while supplies last so contact me soon if you want to snag some!

Scrap Club: October

Blogger kept rotating my picture again so this month you can see the full layout. :)

Stamp Club: October

We used the Top Note die to make the base of the card. And we paper pieced the pumpkin. Stamped him on designer paper and then cut him out, easy peasy! I just love Basic Gray. This card is a good example of how it is a subtle black and is very pleasing to the eye.

Cased this from Terry Walker at SCS. Here is her beautiful card. Glitter and cupcakes, they just GO together!
